Anyone know how many dimples are on the average ball? Well...too many to count....but, the legal ones have between 250 - 450. I think I got about 100 of them here. As you can see, this is clearly an unused ball. Mine usually have scuffs or tree bark smeared all over. I think natural light would have been optimal here....as you can see some glare.

Excellent, Chethan. Well conceived. I like the background too - All focus is on the lie-ing ball.
ReplyDeleteI notice shake in the picture. Did u mount the camera on a tripod? If not, u might want to do that. This will make the picture crisp, and the dimples will be clearly amplified.
Chota chetan, I like the reflection of the ball..see if you can enhance it and bring it out..
ReplyDeleteWere you wearing glasses when you focussed ;-)
Felt the snap should have been a little more crisper !!
ReplyDeleteYup, its shaken up a little bit. Could have used a tripod or a stable surface
ReplyDeleteGood shot and a lovely idea.. i like the frame and the background.. reducing the brightness a bit will make the subject look even better..
ReplyDeleteI feel you have pushed the limits of D40 with ISO 400.. you can see noise (grainy stuff in the bottom part of the ball) in parts of the image.. you might want to use some noise remover tool to repair some of that.. with the shutter speed you had set, a tripod becomes an absolute necessity or at least some way to steady the camera from shakes.. the edges of the ball tell me that there was some shake..
i think this was a good idea executed pretty well..
Loved it! Except for the glare .. a really nice picture.
ReplyDeleteReally cool idea. Noise is a little much & yup & tripod would have helped
