It's a circus....

I was fortunate enough to get some time with the Founder of the UCLA juggling club. Appu wowed L'il Akhil with his hand-eye coordination. This pic shows three balls in flight...all while the juggling master looks straight ahead. Sorry...no data on the image. But, it was with my 18-200 mm.

  1. U could use a faster shutter speed to make the balls visible. It's hard to make out the balls with the current settings. Try to shoot the same picture by doing a few things;
    Set the camera on a tripod.
    Use a shutter release.
    Set the aperture to f/8.
    Try the shutter speed of 60. If u don't see enough blur, slow down a tad.
    Shoot till u get the balls visible so that we can make out the balls.
    Try a different background for the subject.

  2. I agree. The picture would have been better if the balls were visible.

    BTW, we do think alike. My original idea involved a ball too :)

    Yup, the shutter speed has to be faster. The slower the shutter, the objects become transparent.

    On another note, is it possible to use a combination of pictures to get the trajectory of the balls. That would be really cool. I am sure there are tricks in PS which can give you that efeect.
