Multiple Exposures
I was going to fiddle around with ISO settings since that is one area that I haven't played with much. But then, I discovered the multiple exposure feature of the D80. It allows you to take two pictures and then combines them to create a JPG/RAW image. So here is my attempt - a window within a door taken using 2 exposures. The window, car, trees, etc are taken from a window facing North, and the door is on the opposite side of the room. You can see a faint version of a second window to the right side of the image.

Its pretty cool. I don't think the Canon 20D has the feature, but I like what you have attempted. So many things you can do with this feature, yeah.
ReplyDeleteI never knew of such a feature! This is cool !! Fun to get spooky shots.
ReplyDelete...great idea. The Nikon family has a feature called 'image overlay' that I tried with a variety of subjects. It's pretty cool. This was a great concept with the door and window.
ReplyDeleteJaidev, this is a classic example of figuring out what your camera can do.. thanks for sharing.. may be you can try to straighten the image a bit.. will make it look much better..
ReplyDeleteand you should try to blend the pictures during post processing next time... and shoot raw when you are actually shooting.. it is not really that hard and u will love it.. guaranteed..
Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I definitely would not have discovered the feature if not for this assignment.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I should have straightened the image. I did have a physical obstacle preventing me from getting the door at the correct angle. I tried a couple of other doors in the house, but that didn't work.
I've tried shooting raw before, but I tend to not do much post-processing on my images (laziness), so I just switched back to JPG.
